The self-taught photographer, who died last year, is remembered at the Grand Palais.

A friend of Pablo Picasso and Michel Tournier, celebrated photographer Lucien Clergue (1934-2014) was self-taught from the start. In 1968, he founded the annual Festival International de Photographies des Rencontres d’Arles, which still plays host to the cream of the photography world.
