It’s not every week the general public gets to go to Hôtel de Matignon, the official residence of France’s Prime Minister (Jean-Marc Ayrault since May’s elections), so make the most of it during Fête de la Musique when the building’s courtyard temporarily become a stage for some of France’s best pop music acts. Look out for emerging groups like Lussi in the Sky (runner up in Nouvelle Star, France’s popular TV reality music programme), raspy-voiced girly band Theodore, Paul & Gabriel, and confirmed popsters Pony Pony Run Run, known for their melodic electro-dance tunes.
