Cocobeach parties are back with a vengeance. For the uninitiated and the interested, these are an annual series of events that take place on Sunday afternoons in and around Paris, with the purpose of providing the capital's electro crowd with somewhere to mellow out for a day. This year marks Cocobeach's fifth anniversary, and following the inaugural event last weekend, a bumper second party will be taking place in the Bois de Vincennes this coming Sunday May 4, from noon to 2am.
The emphasis is firmly on summery festival vibes. Food trucks and artistic collectives are on hand to spice up the site, and ravers are encouraged to come in fancy dress: the theme for May 4 is the Wild West. Music-wise, you can look forward to tech-house sets from Tiefschwarz and Hito (signed to Richie Hawtin's label Minus), among others. For those with enough fire in their feet, the Rex Club will be hosting an afterparty.
