DAF + Moodoïd

If you're wondering whether the Franco-German summit of January 2003 really merits a full-blown commemoration party, you need only take one look at the programme for this night at La Gaîté Lyrique to get an idea of the importance attached to the event. Curated by the Franco-German Youth Office, it boasts a headline performance by DAF, veritable pioneers of German electronic music alongside Kraftwerk. Completing the bilateral lineup are Moodoïd, one of the most distinguished bands to emerge from the French pop scene in recent years – check out their eponymous debut EP for a taste of their rich psychedelic strains. All of which should make for an eclectic but very danceable night out.
