Fireworks Festival : Crystal Stilts + Only Real

Coming across like a dark hybrid of early Velvet Underground and Joy Division (without ever sounding like a pastiche of either), New York post-punkers Crystal Stilts have been riding a wave of modest critical acclaim for some time without cresting into the mainstream. That may be about to change: after two brilliant albums that generated some noise in the East Coast underground scene, their third offering 'Nature Noire', a more baroque, less aggressive affair, has garnered their greatest plaudits yet. On the back of this success, they're coming to Paris for the second time in a matter of months, this time accompanied by the prodigious rocker from London Niall Galvin (a.k.a. Only Real).
