Sun-dappled, infectious indie-disco trio Friendly Fires, who nod to New Order, MBV, funk, disco and post-house offer appealingly vicious and visceral, but oddly vulnerable pop. Great support too from one half of The Last Shadow Puppets Kane and Foster the People whose “Pumped Up Kicks” was the dark-horse song of the summer.
