Unmissable tripple-header. Agnès Obel's haunting, intricately harmonised, piano-led songs opens before singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and former member of The Polyphonic Spree St Vincent plays from her third LP, 'Strange Mercy'. Expect alluringly nuanced songcraft, ranging from Disney-esque soundtrack to beautiful, Robert Fripp-esque guitar abuse (she's possibly one of the best guitarists out there at present) delivered with muted emotion, but in a curiously affecting manner.
Sonic Youth-approved Philadelphian troubadour Kurt Vile and his crew headline, peddling lo-fi psych and an echo-sodden blend of folk, punk and rotsy rock as they promote terrific new(ish) album 'Smoke Ring for My Halo'.
