Just like the blues and rock 'n' roll, the alligator inhabits the murky waters of the Mississippi. So what better way to name a festival dedicated to these musical traditions than after the squamous reptile? As in previous years, the curators have brought the best bands from the bayou over to Paris for ten days of scintillating concerts, taking in everything from established hard rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and indie legend Adam Green to more obscure artists. Red-blooded rockers won't need much convincing; everyone else with an ounce of sense and two good feet to dance on should head down to La Maroquinerie anyway – you won't regret it.
