For the 13th edition of the Jazz à la Villette festival, Maceo Parker takes to the stage. The powerhouse bandleader and erstwhile member of James Brown's band plays a potent mix of funk, soul and jazz. His concerts have a tendency to run over two and a half hours, yet he still manages to cram some 250 shows into one year. In 2012, Parker released a cover album called 'Soul Classics'; he's back on the road again to celebrate 70 years of a brilliant career. Malted Milk supports.
