L.A. R&B multi-instrumental prodigy Ty Dolla $ign sculpts earworm-y hits (he wrote Chris Brown’s ‘Loyal’, for instance), and though he can spit bars with the best – his features on last year’s EP, ‘Beach House’, included Wiz Khalifa, Twista and French Montana – he considers himself a singer at heart. That description calls to mind another recent phenomenon (cough cough Fetty Wap), but unlike his sensitive rival, the foul-mouthed lothario aims his sights on partying rather than tender boyfriend-ery.
