Asian restaurant in Paris on the Avenue George V covers the eastern half of the planet in all its glory: Japanese sushi and sashimi as well as Chinese spring rolls and dumplings and stir-fries, Thai curries and Vietnamese and Laotian dishes as well. You’d expect superstyle in this part of town and Asian doesn’t’ disappoint – it’s been designed by architect Francois Wapler. Luminous columns and lots of gilding offset the mirrors that help to create a bamboo forest effect. There’s a dim sum room with low tables and a big, bubbling dining room downstairs that still manages to be warm and welcoming. A great find.
