Mexico, Honduras and Laos no less come together at the well set tables of Aux Couleurs du Monde. This exotic multicoloured little find in the quiet Batignolles neighbourhood has two head chefs (the owner’s parents) - one from Honduras, the other Laos. It’s proved a popular mix – the original restaurant on Rue des Dames couldn’t cope with demand, prompting a move to the 17th in 2005. Simple, lively flavours light up a truly international menu which teams a fresh Thai salad with prawn faijtas, simple tacos and marinated beef with Thai rice. It's not just the homely approach and atmosphere that give high marks to Aux Couleurs du Monde; the decor and low Latin music soon bring on a relaxed and cheerful mood.
