Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

A quick café stop serving American-style bagels and hot dogs.

This bagel shop in the 9th gets a fair amount of footfall (there was a queue out of the shop on our weekday visit) and it's not surprising. Inventive bagel fillings are named after big Hollywood stars so you can sit at one of the high-top tables to munch a Natalie Portman, Clark Kent or even an Obama. The most substantial has to be the Schwarzenegger, a protein rich combination of pastrami, turkey, cornichons, tomato, cheese and fried onions (€7.70). But all bagels are customisable with a choice of bagel bases and classic, spicy or chive cream cheese, so you can play it as safe (or as wild as you'd like).

They also do some decent desserts (the Speculoos cheesecake was a winner), hot dogs and fresh build-your-own salads if bagels don't float your boat. It suffers a little from its takeaway vibe but we suggest grabbing lunch to go and enjoying it in the gardens of Eglise de la Trinité at the bottom of rue de Clichy.

Alternative address: 93 rue de Rennes, 75008.
