By noon on a Sunday there is a queue outside every falafel shop along rue des Rosiers. The long-established L'As du Fallafel, a little further up the street, still reigns supreme, whereas Hanna remains something of a locals' secret, quietly serving up falafel and shawarma sandwiches to rival any in the world. A pitta sandwich bursting with crunchy chickpea-and-herb balls, tahini sauce and vegetables costs €4 if you order from the takeaway window, €8 if you sit at one of the tables in the buzzy dining room overlooking the street. Either way, you really can't lose.

Food is super fresh and admittedly, it gets super busy but it's one of the few places you can sit down for falafel in the Marais. Not to be sniffed at.
Chez Hanna has become a tourist trap. EUR 18.50 for a vegetarian platter for one person is just too much, considering that they now serve industrial pita bread to accompany their medium quality food.
Just coming back from Hanna, fallafel was good and the pita bread excellent ... "special fallafel" was 11,5 EUR and glass of shiraz 4,5 EUR ...unfortunately glass was warm (at least clean!) Inside every mm counts, hopefully neighbours were cheerful and they all seemed to enjoy the dinner ... So, nice evening :)
