Le Vin Qui Chante is a cosy timbered French bistro housed between the Stock Exchange and the Paris Opera House in the 2nd. Around a hundred French wines are on the menu, from cheap and cheerful quaffs to rare vintages best kept for special occasions. Accompanying them are a just as impressive choice of menus, ranging from filling charcuterie, cheese, seafood sharing platters to a ‘menu gourmand’ of original and unmistakeably French dishes like duck foie gras, roast rabbit, Nicoise salad shoulder of lamb, and chocolate profiteroles… This is good stuff. From 7pm Sunday to Wednesday, Le Vin Qui Chante offers a traditional aperitif paired with tasty amuse-bouches.
