Time Out says

Opened in December 2015, Mokonuts is the brainchild of Moko and Omar, partners who previously spent decades working in other fields. Moko, a former lawyer, prepares original and delicious desserts that catch your eye as soon as you walk in, including cookies made with black olives and white chocolate. Her pecan cake is also divine, made with halva (a type of nougat) and muscovado sugar. Meanwhile, Omar handles the savoury side of the business, crafting stunning recipes using the freshest of ingredients, like a parsnip velouté with fiore sardo (an Italian cheese) and artichoke caponata. With its affordable prices and tempting flavours, the café has already become one of the hottest spots in the neighbourhood.
