Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

Paradis is a chic, sophisticated bistro serving chic European dishes, its gold-accented rooms creating an intimate atmosphere perfect for candlelit dining. If you’re able to decipher the overwritten menu, it has some worthwhile dishes on offer too.

Young chef Nicolas Gaudin, formerly of Passard, uses top quality ingredients – and it shows. Everything is fresh and impeccably presented on the plate, like our‘perfect egg’ starter, scientifically soft-boiled at 64° and served with chopped hazelnuts, delicate strips of ham and a celery cream. Mains were more hit and miss – a lovely fillet of mullet with oyster mushrooms, and grilled leg of lamb that was hearty but unmemorable. Desserts aren't the greatest feature, so opt instead for one of the imaginative cocktails instead, a pleasing alternate way to finish off your meal.
