Beauty lovers will be ecstatic at the news that Birchbox is launching an offline store in the heart of Sentier on rue Montmartre.
The shop itself is beautiful, with light wood and pastel colours. Inside you'll find exactly what has made the brand such a success (200,000 subscribers in France alone): Birchbox's brilliant brands, all in full size. Face masks from Leaders, Manna Kadar Cosmetics bronzer, Marcelle BB cream, salt spray from Parlor... the list goes on. And if these names sound alien, that's because it's founder Mathilde Lacombe's goal - to promote only the most niche and exclusive names to beauty mavens.
Organised into categories of expertise (hair, makeup, skincare), this huge beauty boutique (over 200m2 - the first of its size in France) allows clients to discover a selection of over 250 brands, and to create their own Birchbox in the 'La Fabrique' (Building) corner. A choice of 5 travel-size products for €16.90 (€15 for subscribers). If you want to discover the mystery of the box, you can also sign up instore, for €13.
As online, subscribers benefit from 10% off all products and from -15% off of a selection of products of the month.
One final surprise is that there's a space on the first floor for coworking and a hair salon!
