Carven has long struggled to refind the mix of the simplicity and chic that made its name in the 1940s, but it arrived with the appointment of William Henry as artistic director in 2009. Since then Carven has dusted off its image and regained its vitality. Not only have the women’s collections manage to convince the customer and fashion press alike, but a men's line, available from summer 2012, is following in their wake.
