There’s no doubt you will have crossed paths with a pair of Karine Arabians at some point on the streets of Paris. The designer, of Armenian origin and a graduate of Esmod Fashion School and Studio Berçot, is in a class of her own when it comes to supplying the city’s fashionistas with designer footwear. The highest quality materials, clean lines and subtle femininity are hallmarks of her style and in less that 10 years she has made serious inroads into the largely masculine fashion landscape (Christian Louboutin, Pierre Hardy, Manolo Blahnik). The prices mightmake you flinch (around €300), but in Autumn 2012, the designer created a special collection for high street chain André.
