Time Out says

The Alsatian Christmas market takes place on the forecourt of the Gare de l’Est, and this year is themed around festive food from the Eastern region. For one fortnight only, the scented pines are everywhere, hung with decorations from different eras of history – tiny real candles, shiny baubles and yellow stars – making it the perfect Christmassy place to stock up on snacks, booze and sweet stuff to fend off the cold. There will be free wine tastings, Christmas theatre, and storytelling – and food stalls vending everything from pretzels and duck foie gras to spiced breads and Alsatian wine.
