They say France is a culinary nation by nature, but it took the popularity of 'Master Chef'-like programmes to push younger generations into the kitchen. Now Paris's legions of yuppie amateur chefs have a shop to call their own: Mora, a swanky kitchenware shop behind Les Halles. Professionals come here too, of course – after all, you're not going to find a Gugelhupf mould (€8) at your local Monoprix. The range of items is very inclusive – brass pans, pastry bags, food colouring – though the shop layout is somewhat Byzantine.
