Time Out says

With a toy shop, a tea room and workshops for babies, Poule Mouillette is a go-to spot for parents and their little ones. Owners Isabelle and Amélie were on maternity leave at the same time when they came up with the idea for this original venue that caters to adults and babies alike. Set up in 2012, Poule Mouillette has since proven itself a successful venture and important meeting place for parents, nannies and their kids.

The shop space is original, selling bits and bobs varying from miniature musical instruments to cotton rattles, lamps and a few carefully selected groceries. Upstairs, the owners have created a workshop space in which painters or musicians hold 30 minute or hour long sessions for children (€12-€20 a session).

Kitchen space is small, so Poule Mouillette have a small selection of food brought in by a catering team. The tearoom offers two set menus for kids: one for big appetites (€6) including a diluted syrup drink, a fruit compote and two shortbread biscuits with chocolate coated tips, or a smaller (€3) menu including one biscuit and a compote. Adults can choose from a selection of cakes and Nutella muffins and warm up with a steaming mug of jasmine tea. Drinks cost between €3 and €4 and cakes are €4 each.
