Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

An American patisserie which smells of peanut butter cookies.

A cookie factory? Yes, but not just any old cookies. Behind the blue pastel front window of this new American patisserie, you’ll find Philip Andelman, renowned for his aprons and good French accent. Although you may not recognise the name, but Philip Andelman has directed the music videos for Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’, Taylor Swift’s ‘Safe and Sound’ as well as as many others.

After pop-ups at Colette and Maison Plisson, the American director finally decided to open his boutique in the 2nd arrondissement on a little paved street perpendicular to the very commercial rue Montorgeuil. Stoney Clove is an open kitchen where you can watch the team slicing butter and measuring kilos of flour. Inside this small bakery, its hard to resist the smell of fresh hot biscuits that come straight out of the oven: creamy brownie, oatmeal and raison perfumed with cinnamon and sweet potato pie.

However, 100% USA snacks are a little expensive at €3 per cookie.

There’s no need to be bilingual to savour these delicious treats with M&Ms or Oreos. A bite of everything translates as 'so good'.
