Inspired by Dante's 'Divine Comedy,' this play is a triptych starring three American comedians portraying three characters (a waitress in a bar, a boxer and a shady coach) who discuss their respective lives; their dialogue mixing with the melodies played by the on-stage rock band. The theatrical world and reality blends together, with the characters fully aware that they are fuelling the confusion with the depth of their dreams. A feast for the eyes and the ears, it illustrates three very different ways to live life.
Written and directed by Richard Maxwell and his experimental theatre company, the New York City Players, this is in English with French subtitles.
