Once you’ve paid for your entry fees, travel fares and meals at rip-off restaurants on the high street, you remember: being a tourist is expensive. Save a little coin, time and hassle the next time you’re in the city of love by getting yourself a Paris Pass. This sightseeing package gives you access to over 60 attractions and museums, including a travel card for use in zones one to three. That means more money for blue cheese and baguettes. Here’s how to use your Paris Pass on a weekend away.

Plus, you can now get up to an extra €15 off The Paris Pass by entering code TIMEOUT2019 at checkout here. For a limited time only. Valid on certain products only until August 31st 2019.

Louvre Museum

1. Louvre Museum

First things first: when you’re in Paris, you simply must visit Mona Lisa and the massive collection of art at the Louvre. The Paris Pass sightseeing package means you can get in quick (just scan and go) but we still say to go early so you can avoid the crowds once you’re inside. After a walk around this massive museum, sit outside in the park and fuel up with a croissant and a coffee - you’ve a big day of being Parisian ahead of you.

Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise

2. Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise

Make the most of the time you’ve got in Paris with a river cruise that ticks off a bunch of key sights within an hour. The Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise, included with your Paris Pass, will take you for a relaxing stroll down the River Seine, bypassing sites like Musee D’Orsay, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and Grand Palais (to name just a few). Tours depart every 30 minutes.

3. Gallery Hop: Rodin Museum and Orangerie Museum

Time for a quick photo stop with the ‘Thinker’ in the beautiful grounds of the Rodin Museum (you get free access to look at loads of sculptural masterpieces). When you’re done, head on over to the Orangerie Museum to check out loads of lovely impressionist works. Our favourite is the dreamy, peaceful room lined with paintings of Monet’s famous lilies.

Les Caves du Louvre Wine Tasting

4. Les Caves du Louvre Wine Tasting

Finish off your day the best way: with a French wine tasting and tour of Les Caves du Louvre’s historic cellar. Normally €32, this luxe activity runs for just over an hour and is included with your Paris Pass. You’ll learn about the history of French wine and taste some delicious drops before heading off to order more at dinner. They cater to everyone – connoisseurs and newbies are all welcome.
