A brunchtime market with its upmarket fingers in every pie, the Palas de Tokyo festivites include dining, games, cinema, shopping, clubbing and more apread across two days of frenetic Christmas activity. The idea for the two-day blowout came to Nadège Winter and the La Clique (Le Baron) collective, who envisioned a space in which board games, a flea market and kids’ workshops could coexist peacefully. For 10 years now, Brunch Bazaar has been attracting hordes of Parisians aged between 0 and 99 (hipsterphobes need not attend), who duke it out over electro music and bio foods. There are vintage clothes stands where getting your hands on an original Christmas present counts for everything; table football tournaments for the more adventurous; even taster sessions for cupcakes dripping with icing.
