Adapted from Otaka Rambousek's short story called 'What the Deputy Saw', this film centers around the attempt by victims of the Communist State Security's 'Operation Kameny' to illegally escape to the borders between Czechslovakia and West Germany. One of the victims, journalist Karel Rubes seeks help from a group of secret transporters which leads to the successful attempt to escape to the border. It is only when he reaches his destination that he gets to know of an atrocious trap that has been laid for him. This film will be screened in Czech with English subtitles.
