Exhibiting a variation of hand painted kimono designs dating back to Japan's Taisho era (1012-1926), these designs are rare finds evident through its origin from the oldest and prestigious Kimono companies in Kyoto. In the past, the Japanese are known to hire a designer to design the kimono patterns and motifs prior to having it customed into actual kimonos. This ultimately resulted in a non-generic art for individualist.
