Protest At The Capitol For Education Funding

Time Out says

Lets make our voices heard and let the Governor know we are tired of the cuts to education. Please share this event on your timeline if you are in the State of Arizona. If you are a teacher or a concerned parent or community member, please share this so we can get representation on Thursday. Even if you can't go, others may be able to attend. The cuts have to stop. Our teachers and students deserve better. The protest last Wednesday was a success, and we hope for even better participation this time – let’s make a statement that cannot be ignored. We aren’t just parents, or teachers or students – we are ARIZONANS WHO VOTE! Carpool: We encourage you to carpool and suggest meeting up and parking at your school site and then driving down. This is a family friendly event, bring the kids! We will start at 4:15pm so if you can't make it until later that is fine we will go as late as 6:30pm. #FundAZFuture Free parking for visitors to the Arizona Capitol Museum, House/Senate proceedings, the 9-11 Memorial and Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza is available in the Wesley Bolin Plaza parking lot. That's located just east of the Capitol building, with one south entrance off Jefferson between 16th and 17th Avenue (Jefferson is a one way street in this area, going east) and another parking lot entrance on the north on Adams (Adams is a one way street going west).
