Time Out Card preview screening and Q&A of 'Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach'

Time Out Card preview screening and Q&A of 'Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach'

Hot off the heels of his Palme D'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival for 'I, Daniel Blake', 'Versus' is a funny, provocative and revealing account of the life and career of Ken Loach - one of Britain's most celebrated and controversial film directors, as he turns 80 and looks back at his extraordinary 50-year career. The film presents a surprisingly candid behind-the-scenes account of Loach's career. It is a playful study of the process and struggles of creating such a unique body of work including TV dramas like 'Up the Junction' and 'Cathy Come Home', and feature films like 'Kes', 'Riff-Raff' and 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley'. It's in cinemas from June 3. This exclusive screening and Q&A with Ken Loach and director Louise Osmond takes place at Curzon Bloomsbury on Wednesday June 1 at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. This is a cardholder only event. To book your tickets, take your 4 digit code and book here Not a Cardholder? Join today for just £24.50

Time Out Card preview screening of ‘The Nice Guys’ at VUE Piccadilly Circus

Time Out Card preview screening of ‘The Nice Guys’ at VUE Piccadilly Circus

Critics have been raving about this witty, star-studded action comedy from the writer-director of ‘Iron Man 3’ since it premiered last week at the Cannes Film Festival – Time Out’s own 5-star review called it ‘hilarious’ and ‘perfect’. Ryan Gosling stars as a down at-heel private detective in 1970s LA, who teams up with Russell Crowe’s tough-nut enforcer to solve the mystery of a suicidal porn star. Shane Black basically invented the buddy-buddy action formula in the 80s with his script for ‘Lethal Weapon’, and ‘The Nice Guys’ proves he hasn’t lost his touch: imagine a cross between ‘Boogie Nights’ and ‘Chinatown’ and you’re half way there. ‘The Nice Guys’ is released on Friday June 3. There will be two exclusive screenings taking place on Thursday June 2 at Vue Piccadilly, at 6pm for a 6.30 start and 8pm for an 8:30 start. All you need to book your tickets is your unique 4 digit card code. Book here Not a Cardholder? Join today for just £24.50
