A roar-some dino exhibition is stomping into Kelvingrove

Twenty-two years - that's how long it's been since 'Jurassic Park' first stomped onto the big screen in all its sharp-toothed, water-shaking glory and left a trail of dino-mania in its wake. This summer, the much-anticipated fourth instalment is set to hit cinemas and excitement is certainly building. Ahead of its release, Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum will host its own prehistoric presentation in the shape of 'Hatching the Past - Dinosaur Eggs and Babies'. This touring exhibition gives an unique insight into the fascinating world of dinosaurs and how they cared for their young.  This week, Glasgow will be the first UK city to showcase this informative display, which includes different families of dinosaurs represented through a collection of egg and skeleton casts, nests, models, artist's interpretations and more. There's also the opportunity to explore the latest scientific discoveries and enjoy interactive displays.  'Hatching the Past - Dinosaur Eggs and Babies' focuses on dinosaur reproduction and behaviours, and how the egg itself is a key factor in the study of dinosaurs. With a variety of media including text, video, images, exploration stations, real specimens and artworks to discover, there is plenty for people of all ages to enjoy.  Hatching the Past - Dinosaur Eggs and Babies, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Friday April 3-Sunday August 16.  See more things to do in Glasgow from Time Out.
