Join the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum, Sol Collective, and Verge Center for the Arts for a panel discussion, the first in a series of free programs exploring innovative forms of artistic engagement in our community. Learn how artists worldwide create art that stimulates conversation about social taboos, cultural diversity, and the yearning for community.

Panelists will present a variety of bold, participatory, and innovative artistic projects and processes as a way to engage community. Panelists include Jen Delos Reyes, Professor of Art and Social Practice at Portland State University's Social Practice MFA program; Sacramento-based artists Seyed Alavi and Phil Fahrenheit; and Argentinian artist Juan Sorrentino.

Free and open to the public.
