Crocker Art Museum says
Acclaimed soprano Carrie Hennessey returns to the Crocker for a concert celebrating female composers throughout many eras. With her noted technique and robust theatricality, Hennessey will present a program with works by Alma Mahler (wife of Gustav), Clara Schumann (wife of Robert), and Fanny Mendelssohn (sister of Felix), as well as contemporary composer Libby Larsen. Carrie will be accompanied by noted Los Angeles-based pianist Catherine Miller. Space is limited, and reserving tickets in advance is recommended.

Enjoy a docent-led tour of works by female artists in the Crocker's permanent collection in advance of the performance at 1 or 2 PM. Prelude Tours help place the musical performance in context of the art on view. No registration is necessary for the tour.

$6 Members, $10 Students/youth & Capital Public Radio Members, and $12 Nonmembers.
