Crocker Art Museum says
The art of Highest Heaven: Spanish and Portuguese Colonial Art from the Roberta and Richard Huber Collection depicts historical and religious imagery, taking the viewer into history to experience the art of 18th-century colonial Latin America. The actors of Capital Stage invite you to join them in the gallery as they bring these works of art to life through live readings of historical narratives from Eduardo Galeano's Memory of Fire: Faces and Masks. Galeano used extensive research and historical sources to create lyrical vignettes of history from 18th-century Latin America. This 30-minute program is open to all and free with admission; limited gallery stools will be available.
