Bix

The secretive locale and supper-club menu of Bix, named for owner Doug 'Bix' Biederbeck ('very vaguely related' to 1920s and '30s jazz cornet legend Bix Beiderbecke, evoke the opulence of the Jazz Age. The room combines the glamour of Harlem's Cotton Club with the splendour of a cruise liner's dining room so effectively that you half expect to spy Rita Hayworth sipping a martini in a booth.
