This venerable lounge, which is essentially a long bar with a few extra seats, opened the day after Prohibition was repealed in 1933, and keeps the old-time vibe alive thanks to Atomic Age decor and comfortably hip and friendly environs. Cock-tails are a serious business here: there's always a surprise lurking behind the bar if the right mixologist is on duty.
