Living in the City by the Bay is a special privilege that many of us struggle to afford—but for the most part, we can all agree that residing in San Francisco is totally worth it. The rest of the country (secretly) agrees that we're living in one of the most special places on Earth, and can't help but find themselves curious about our weird and wonderful ways of life. Naturally they have questions, and ask them of us over and over—especially during tourist season. Here are a dozen questions every San Franciscan is absolutely sick of answering:

1. "Do you work at Google (or Facebook) and if so, can I get a job there?"

2. "How much is your rent?"

3. "Does everyone smoke marijuana out in the open? Awesome!"

4. "Did you know Robin Williams?"

5. "How many earthquakes have you survived?"

6. "How come this bridge isn't orange?" (Usually said when driving across the Bay Bridge.)

7. "Where is the Full House house?"

8. "What is this giant cloud in the sky and why does everyone call it Karl?"

9. "Why are there buses everywhere? I thought you rode cable cars."

10. "Where's the Rice-A-Roni factory?"

11. "Does toast really cost $4? Is a cup of coffee actually $8? And can we go there and try it?"

12. "Where are you really from?"
