We're super excited for this year's Treasure Island Music Fest. Both the headliners and small-print bands are solid, and we know from festivals earlier this year that some of Treasure Island's heaviest hitters have given stellar performances. We recommend trying to see it all, even if that means running to and fro, but if you'd rather take things at a leisurely pace, here are five bands you should definitely mosey over to.

The War on Drugs: A Philly-based band (which used to include Kurt Vile) that excels at nostalgic heartland guitar rock.

Run the Jewels: A best friend hip-hop duo whose live performances are always mind blowing.

Ex Hex: A Washington DC lady trio who play easily accessible punk rock.

Shamir: A little dude with a huge attitude, this 20-year old seamlessly transitions from soul and r&b to hop hop and synth pop.

Baio: A worldly performer (as Vampire Weekend's bassist) who melds genres from across the planet into likable guitar rock.
