Don’t let those New Year’s resolutions to get fit fall by the wayside. It’s easy to grow tired of your usual workout routine, but this is San Francisco! We’re anything but usual—and that extends to our cardio. We’ve picked five exercise options for those that need a break from spin class boredom.

“Burn and Sweat” at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco This group fitness class combines cardio and weight-lifting, and is held at one of San Francisco’s fitness treasures, the JCCSF. Doesn’t sound unique enough for you? “Burn and Sweat” is led by Troy Markle, who totally dominated the 1987 Crystal Light Aerobic Championship, as evidenced by this glorious video

Beyonce (or Britney) Dance Class Carol Johnstone’s dance classes SELL OUT FAST, so you’ll want to follow her page on Facebook and sign up for a $15 session as soon as you can. Choose from Bey or Britney, and bring your most colorful dance wear. We took the Beyonce class this past fall (taught by the talented James), and can offer one important piece of advice: kneepads.

Ganja Yoga Yep, you read that correctly. Yoga teacher Dee Dussault blends yoga and cannabis to “enhance” your workout—and potentially your post-workout snacking game. Dee also offers clothing-free yoga, and on her fascinating website, decries the “desexualization” of yoga. Some ganja classes are held in spaces that are not 420-friendly, in which case participants are encouraged to arrive pre-enhanced.

Cheer San Francisco So what if you never made the squad in high school? You can cheer your way well into adulthood. Around since 1980, all-volunteer Cheer SF performs at parades, fairs and fundraisers all over the Bay Area. Those of you ready to get your pom-pom on should know that Cheer SF asks for a full-year commitment and that you attend Tuesday night classes, as well as select mandatory performances, throughout the year.

Swimming in SF Bay Who needs to join a pool? Real swimmers prefer the open water of San Francisco Bay. The Dolphin Club has been celebrating icy workouts since 1877, and is now a nonprofit athletic club at Aquatic Park. Test out the club for a mere $10 on public days, or join the gang of hearty swimmers (and rowers) of all ages. Members also get to participate in the annual Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon
