We'll admit it—we've got no one to kiss when the clock strikes midnight and 2015 turns into 2016. You know what, we're just fine with that. Because in San Francisco, you don't need to have a date to turn New Year's Eve into a night to remember. If you're rolling solo this December 31st, consider our 7 ideas for dining in the new year without the press of locking lips:

1. Laugh in 2016 at Cobb's Comedy Club. The funny New Year's Eve festivities will include hometown favorites Scott Capurro and Jacob Sirof, among other hilarious folks.

2. Bundle up for a solo or platonic stroll along the Embarcadero and make out with the fireworks

3. You can actually score a ticket to Star Wars: The Force Awakens while everyone else is out making bad decisions.

4. Om in the new year. SF's Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center is hosting a free (and alcohol-free) fire ceremony and mediation all focused on letting go of the old.

5. City Kayak offers a chilly but festive midnight outing to watch the fireworks from the Bay waters.

6. Grab your fellow singletons and head to Bimbo's for San Francisco's favorite 80s cover band, Tainted Love.

7. Stay home. There's great stuff on Netflix, great food to be delivered and your couch doesn't require a designated driver.
