This year, San Francisco became the third city to host Hamilton, the Broadway smash hit that sets the founding father's story to a hip-hop and pop score. The first national touring company, led by Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry as Aaron Burr, is performing daily at SHN Orpheum Theatre through August 5 before heading south to Los Angeles.

Like the New York and Chicago companies, Hamilton is offering a digital lottery here for $10 tickets. Dubbed #Ham4Ham (Hamilton for a Hamilton, get it?), the lottery will sell 44 seats for a sawbuck at every performance, with winners able to snag up to two tickets each. Unlike in the other cities, though, you can't enter the lottery for the same day's show.

Here's how to #Ham4Ham in San Fran: The lottery opens online at luckyseat.com/hamilton.html at 11am two days prior to the performance date; entries close at 9am the day before the performance. Entrants will receive win-or-lose notifications by email and text message at approximately 11am the day before the performance.

Winners must purchase their tickets by credit card via the customized link in their notification email by 4pm the day before the performance, or their tickets will be forfeited. Lottery tickets must be picked up at will call beginning two hours prior to the performance, with a valid photo ID matching the name on the original entry. You can only enter the lottery once per performance, but you can (and should!) enter it every day. So start clicking now to get in the room where it happens.
