There's more art to Homeland Security than just those Escher-esque lines at the airport. This fall, an exciting art exhibition will take over some unexpected San Francisco sites—and the whole thing is exclusively focused on the theme of security.

We'll have to wait until September, but "Home Land Security" promises to be an eye-opening experience for art, military and curiosity lovers. Sixteen artists from nine countries have been invited to contribute their works around "security" to the show, which will take place in five abandoned San Francisco military bunkers. In fact, some of these Presidio and Fort Winfield Scott buildings have never been open to the public before.

"Home Land Security" comes to us from the For-Site Foundation, the same folks who brought us Ai Weiwei's hugely popular art exhibit on Alcatraz. It runs September 10-December 18. Don't worry, we'll remind you.
