This holiday season, we've rounded up a holly jolly collection of our favorite San Francisco (and beyond) Christmas tree lots. From frosted to fir to friendly delivery right to your door, we're sure you'll find the tree worthy of your trim.

The Guardsmen Tree Lot, 2 Marina Blvd., Fort Mason, San Francisco

Give back while getting a tree at the 68 year old Guardsmen Christmas Tree lot. Generations of San Francisco families return year after year to this lively local tradition: Pick out a tree from 2 to 18 feet (really) and for an additional cost, the Guardsmen will actually do the delivery and set up. The Guardsmen is an all-volunteer (and heavily popped-collar) organization and all of the preppy proceeds go to at-risk youth in San Francisco.

Clancy's Christmas Tree Farm, 1620 7th Avenue, San Francisco

We love this centrally-located city lot because while nestled in the heart of San Francisco, Clancy's still has an old-school country vibe. Pony rides for the kids and a parking lot for adults make this spot a family favorite. Mid-century modern and kitsch fans take note—Clancy's will custom-flock your tree.

Sloat Garden Centers, various Bay Area locations including 3 San Francisco locations, Mill Valley, San Rafael, Danvill, and Novato

Sloat Garden Center is a well-loved Bay Area garden supply company, but come Christmas, they specialize is some of the area's most gorgeous trees. Stock up on other botanical essentials while at Sloat, like their scented garlands, poinsettia plants and mistletoe. Send a picture of your decorated tree and enter to win Sloat's Christmas Tree Contest, voted on by you fellow shoppers. And yep, Sloat delivers.

Rent a Living Christmas Tree, Peninsula and South Bay home delivery and pick-up

Want a Christmas tree but don't want to kill a living thing? This is the Bay Area, after all. Those looking for an eco-friendly option for their holiday tree should consider Rent-A-Living-Christmas-Tree, which will deliver a potted Christmas tree to your door and then pick up the tree after the holidays. This way, your tree lives a happy, healthy, well-watered life all year round.

Larsen's Christmas Tree Farm, 391 Marshall Avenue, Petaluma

Chop, chop! Anyone wishing to grab an axe and chop down their own Christmas tree will need to head out of the city and into the 'burbs. Larsen's 97 year old family farm has been growing Christmas trees since 1963. Chop down any tree on the farm for $44 and let Larsen's friendly staff shake, net and tie it to the roof of your car.

Wonderland Trees, 2153 Ferry Point, Alameda

Easy Bay holiday fans and families love Wonderland, which literally turns a tree lot into a winter wonderland. Bounce houses, a petting zoo and food trucks add an extra-festive vibe to this Alameda lot. (There's also another Alameda location at 1929 Webster Street.) Online ordering and delivery is easy and appreciate during this busy time of year. We're especially fans of the fact that Wonderland Trees is run by a 4th generation Oakland family.
