Time Out says

The architects of this gorgeous beaux-arts ballroom could never have fathomed in 1909 the caliber of artists that would perform here a century later. Over the decades, it’s housed a Masonic Temple, a Polish dance studio and a movie theater; today, kids line up to catch acts as varied as Brillz, Monica and Weezer. Also available for private events and galas, its signature teardrop crystal chandeliers have seen a lot of fancy footwork over the years.

What’s on

Tangerine Dream

Tangerine Dream’s live shows are a rare chance to hear electronic music history unfold in real time. Their sound is unmistakable: hypnotic sequencers, lush synths and a sense of cinematic scale that’s influenced everything from techno to film scores. But what’s most striking is how their music feels both retro and futuristic, sometimes in the same track. The current lineup has a knack for weaving new material into the classics, so you’ll get those sprawling, trance-inducing passages that made them legends, but with unexpected twists that keep things fresh. If you’ve ever found yourself lost in a late-night drive or a sci-fi soundtrack, this is the kind of immersive, transportive experience that doesn’t come around often. It’s not nostalgia—it’s a living, breathing evolution of electronic music, right in front of you.
