California Academy of Sciences: NightLife Disco

If you need an excuse to wear sequins on a Thursday, this is a good one. NightLife: Disco takes over the Academy with a light-up dance floor, go-go dancers and a late set from Goshfather, whose disco house-tech sound should keep things moving until 10pm. The programming gets more playful from there: Drag Disco Bingo with Franzia Rosé, a makeup station from SuperHella OMG, DIY disco jellyfish and a karaoke corner where you can attempt your own Gloria Gaynor moment. There is also a vintage pop-up if your outfit needs help. The best detour may be upstairs on the Living Roof, where the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers will be stargazing during a near-total lunar eclipse. Add the aquarium and planetarium to the mix, and you have a rare night out where dancing is only one part of the itinerary.
