The San Francisco Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker kicks off with a benefit luncheon that makes the de rigueur holiday outing even more special and twee. The festivities begin at gorgeous City Hall, all decked out for Christmas, with lunch and fun family activities that include photo ops with the dancers and a decadent “land of sweets” experience. The event is crowned with a matinee performance of the famous ballet across the street at the War Memorial Opera House.
