One of a number of small hotels and B&Bs along Bush Street, the Cornell makes no secret of its origins: the Lamberts, who've run the Cornell for decades, are French imports. Downstairs is a restaurant, Jeanne d'Arc, serving complimentary breakfast and non-complimentary dinners; the place is a blast on Bastille Day. Rooms are attractive; the smallest ones have just a shower in the bath, but lower rates to match. Note that the whole property is non-smoking.
