This little club, wedged among warehouses at the base of Potrero Hill, has long been a favourite with the indie-rock crowd. It features local and touring acts most nights, as well as occasional arena acts (Mars Volta, the Beastie Boys) hankering to play an intimate show. Underground bands that play here one year may become cult sensations or even major stars the next. The decor is classic dive, with quirky touches.
