Hemlock Tavern

Out front, the Hemlock looks like a capacious, matey watering hole, a lively mix of young tastemakers, art snobs and yuppies playing pool, yapping at the central bar or puffing in the open-air smoking 'room'. At the back, however, an intimate live room plays host to some of the more edgy and intelligent musical programming in the city. The roster is built around hipster-friendly artists such as Deerhoof and Wolf Eyes, with no knowing who will blow up next.
